The Fortano side parasol by the Swiss brand Glatz is a massive side parasol with a sturdy construction. It is suitable for places where it is necessary to shade a larger area.

The operation of the parasol is very easy and can be handled even by less skilled users. Self-locking clamps at the ends of the ribs ensure perfect tension of the cover throughout the lifetime of both the parasol and the cover. The high-quality surface finish by anodizing or painting gives it a luxurious appearance. It is suitable for both professional and private use. For Glatz parasols, we provide warranty and post-warranty service and spare parts.
A suitable anchoring must be purchased for the parasol, which can be found in the accessories.

Parasol cover:
  • Option no.1 - Fortano easy - 100% polyester 220 g/m2 (grade 2 quality), color natural, UPF 50+ protection level
  • Option no.2 - Fortano Individual - 100% polyester 250 g/m2 (grade 4 quality), colors according to the sample chart, UPF 50+ protection level
  • Option no.3 - Fortano Individual - 100% acrylic 300 g/m2 (grade 5 quality), colors according to the sample chart, UPF 50+ protection level
  • The current Glatz color chart is available in our showroom or can be sent upon request in pdf format by email

Parasol pole/construction:
  • Pole diameter (oval): 65x95x3 mm
  • Material: aluminum
  • Frame surface finish - options:
    1. Anodized aluminum: Only for the Individual series parasols - parasols with custom (high-quality) covers:
    - 100% polyester 250 g/m2 (grade 4 quality), UPF 50+ protection level,
    - 100% acrylic 300 g/m2 (grade 5 quality), UPF 50+ protection level,
    2. Color anthracite (grey-black) - powder-coated aluminum: In combination with all types of covers
  • Opening and closing the parasol with a crank handle
  • Optional accessory - rotating mounting tube - can be rotated around its axis (up to 360°) by releasing the foot brake at the base of the pole

Suitable accessories and extras:
  • Rotating or fixed mounting tube (not included with the parasol)
  • Stand: minimum load 150 kg (not included with the parasol)
  • The parasol can be anchored into the ground - a suitable anchor must be purchased (not included with the parasol)
  • Protective cover: included in the package and the price of the parasol
  • Lighting (not included with the parasol)

Other dimensions:
  • Total height (from lower edge of pole to the highest point of the parasol, closed parasol): 320 cm
  • Height from lower edge of pole to the bottom edge of the parasol roof (when open): 215 cm
  • Minimum dimension of concrete base when anchoring parasol into the ground: 60x60x40 cm (LxWxH)
  • Height of lower edge of closed parasol: 65 cm
